The Great Swamp – Habitat Projects Over Time
Saturday, May 23, 2026
The RI Forest Conservator’s Organization (RIFCO) will conduct its Annual Spring Program
at the RI DEM’s Great Swamp Management Area in South Kingstown, RI on Saturday, May 23rd
from 10 a.m. to noon.  The guided walk will include the viewing of the state’s habitat manipulation
projects to benefit bird species and the New England cottontail over the past years,
including a most recent cut that has just been completed.
